Jun 06, 2014  Eurogamer - 5/10 'Tomodachi Life is a simple, throwaway toy, then - one with plenty of cute tricks, but not quite enough of them to stop you from tossing it aside after a handful of hours.

Have you ever wanted to make two miis fall in love, but it takes a while and is very difficult because another mii loves them? No? Yes? Don’t care. Read this anyways. Here’s how to make two miis be a 100% match every time. (WARNING: If you make two couples like this, for example, I used Chara and Asriel for this and unknowingly made another pairing, the couples can interconnect. It didn’t happen with me but it can.)

Here’s how you do it. To do this, you must have:

Completed 30 problems on your island

Have at least 2 female and 2 male islanders

Change the male’s birthdate to 1/1/2003. I know this technically doesn’t make them an adult in the game, but it’s the only way this works. Change the female’s birthdate to 2/1/2003. That’s all you have to do! This will not only bring the miis closer and make them bond faster and become friends quicker, but if you check the compatibility tester, they get a 100% match!

Access to extra clothing/hats

After a Mii has reached level 20, you’ll unlock the option to give them any hats or clothing already in your collection. This is feature is available only for awarding Miis when leveling up.(Only the mii that has reached Level 20 will have this)

Extra Clothing = Have a mii reach Level 20

Extra Hats = Have a mii reach Level 20

When the child grows up, the Parents give their child’s album to you.

Credits = View The Family Album

Family Album = Have a Child grow up to travel the world, or let them live on the island.

After a couple is married and produced a child, you’ll unlock an option to take children’s and family portraits in the Photo Studio.

Group Performances

When you first unlock the Concert Hall, you’ll only be able to do Solo Performances. To create Group Performances, two or more Miis have to learn the same song style.

Group Performances = Have 2 miis learn the same song

Unlockable Locations

By completing certain tasks, you can unlock additional areas for your island.

Amusement Park = Have an Islander confess his/her love

Cafe = Have an Islander confess his/her love

Camp Ground = Send a traveler or a traveler camp on your island

Clothing Store = have 1+ Male and 1+ Female and solve 5 problems

Compatibility Tester = 2 males and 2 females and solve 30 problems

Concert Hall = Give a song to an islander

Hat Shop = 2 males and 2 females and solve 10 problems

Import Wear Shop = Communicate via StreetPass or receive an import item via SpotPass.

Interiors Shop = Save over £200

Mii Homes = Have a wedding

Nintendo 3DS Image Share = Take a photo of an apartment using X or Y

Observation Tower = Get an islander a gift when they have leveled up

Park = Have an islander confess their love

Pawn Shop = Obtain 5 different Treasures

Photo Shop = Have 10+ Islanders and solve 50 problems
